Ashtakoota Milan is the matching method used across most of north India. Eight kootas are scored, adding to 36 points. Families in Delhi usually ask only for the final number, but the distribution tells you far more than the total does.

How many gunas are needed for marriage? Eighteen and above is generally treated as acceptable. Twenty-five to thirty-two is considered strong. Below eighteen, Nadi and Bhakoot are examined closely before anything is advised, because those two carry the heaviest weight. A high total with Nadi dosha present still deserves a careful second look, and a moderate total with clean Nadi and Bhakoot is often the better match in practice.
One thing worth saying plainly: guna score is one input among several. The seventh house, the position of Venus and Jupiter, the running dasha of both people, and the plain question of whether the two of them get along all matter. Shastri Ji has told families to go ahead on twenty gunas and told others to slow down on thirty. The number on its own decides nothing.
Vastu Shastra
Vastu Shastra is the traditional Indian discipline of arranging a building against the compass. The old texts were written for houses with courtyards and open land on four sides, which is not what most people in Rohini, Dwarka or Laxmi Nagar are living in. Applying it sensibly to a two-bedroom flat on the fourth floor takes judgement, not a printed checklist.
In practice most of the advice is undramatic. Where the head of the bed faces. Where the gas stove sits relative to the sink. Keeping the north-east corner light and uncluttered rather than making it the store for old suitcases. Where the cash box goes in a shop. Which corner is carrying the weight of the water tank.
Anyone who tells you a Delhi flat needs a wall broken before anything improves should be questioned closely. Structural change is suggested only when it is genuinely worth the cost and the society will permit it.

Be careful if you are told your family carries a curse, that a relative has done black magic on you, or that something terrible will happen unless you pay quickly. Fear is the oldest sales technique there is, and it is not astrology.
Be careful of anyone guaranteeing that a specific person will come back, will agree to marry, or will change their mind by a fixed date. No chart gives anyone that power. A kundali describes tendencies, timing and temperament. It does not cancel another adult's free will.
And where a matter is genuinely medical, legal or a question of safety, it needs a doctor, a lawyer or the police. Shastri Ji says this to people at the office regularly. Astrology sits alongside those things. It does not replace them.

Three things: date of birth, time of birth as accurately as you can manage, and place of birth. Birth time matters most, because the lagna changes roughly every two hours and a lot of the reading hangs off it. If nobody in the family remembers the exact time, an approximate window can be worked with, though the reading will be broader and less specific.
